The day started off wet and continued with rain of varying degrees throughout the day. It became extremely muddy around the house as the day progressed. Still, we managed to accomplish some important tasks even through the rain. Laurie and Char were able to work inside the house getting curtain rods and curtains hung. Gino made progress on each of the kids' bedroom artwork and also hauled loads of base material for the pathways and compacted the driveway in preparation for cement which has been delayed for a day due to the rain. Tony worked indoors for a bit hanging trim around the windows and then joined most of the rest of the team putting up scaffolding to help start putting up the carport. Mary, Mike, Terry, Bill, Jim, Paula and Tonya were all on hand to help with the carport construction which was the major focus of this rainy day. Tony also helped with building the gate to the underside of the house. Despite the rain Jim and Bill were able to prep the front by boxing in the pathway, getting it ready for cement. Paula helped the boxing in of the back pathway leading to the clothesline area in the backyard. Paula then moved on to completing the skirting around the front and back of the house. Although a wet and muddy day we still accomplished a great deal, stayed on target for completion and had fun doing it.
