Friday, Day 5 on site

1. Painting the picket fence (with the bad paint - good paint showed up the next day); 2. Tonya, Tony, Mike and Laurie - spreading concrete for the driveway; 3. Lauria, Paula and Tonya just after our afternoon snack; 4. Bill and Jim smoothing out the driveway cement; 5. Gino atop the scaffolding.

Woke up to beautiful blue sky, looks like it is going to make up for the rainy day before. The sun blessed us all day long and our first task was putting the finishing touches on the carport and then getting the scaffolding down as the first cement truck was coming early. Tonya, Bill, Tony, Mike, Terry and Jim all helped complete the carport, remove the scaffolding and then get the cement where it needed to be - the front sidewalk and the back pathway were completed first. Two more cement truck loads later and the driveway was poured as well. This took the better part of the day to complete. In the meantime, Laurie and Mary primed the picket fence for the front of the house. Char and Paula finished giving the skirting boards their second coat of paint and then helped Laurie and Mary by applying the first coat of green paint to go on the picket fence. Tomorrow we'll put the finishing touches on the picket fence and get the yard and house picked up and ready to show since it is dedication day - an exciting day for Freda and everyone who has helped along the way.
